The Clarence Country Market will host a special Vintage & Antique Market on Sunday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clarence Community Hall, 3337 Clarence Road. Browse a unique assortment of antiques, vintage finds, collectibles, furniture, curiosities and plenty of good old-fashioned “cool junk.” Admission is by donation and everyone is welcome! Just North of Paradise Exhibition Opening
Just North of Paradise: An Exhibition on the Nature of Things celebrates the people, landscape, and creative traditions of the North Mountain through the work of two local artists.
The exhibition features paintings by Janice Leonard alongside wood carvings by Eugene “Bud” Hamm (1919–2009), a longtime Clarence resident, farmer, writer, poet, and carver. Together, their works offer a unique reflection on rural life, nature, memory, and the character of the place we call home.
Provincial Heritage Plaque Unveiling Ceremony
Join the Community of Clarence for a special ceremony celebrating the North Mountain Meeting House and its recognition as a Provincial Heritage Property.
The ceremony will mark the unveiling of the building’s Provincial Heritage Plaque and celebrate more than 170 years of history, architecture, and community life associated with this treasured Clarence landmark. All are welcome to join us as we recognize an important piece of our community’s heritage.

First Regular Clarence Country Market of 2026
The Clarence Country Market will return for the season starting June 7 and will run every Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 3337 Clarence Road, Clarence. The market features local farmers, bakers, artisans, and makers offering fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, and more in a welcoming community setting. Marking the Spot (Built Heritage Workshop)
A workshop covering the how and why of protecting heritage built heritage and how registration is a key part of that. This workshop also includes an overview of how to do research on buildings and an overview of the legal protections for heritage property that are provided by the municipal, provincial and federal laws. The goal is to demystify protecting built heritage and, hopefully, make it seem less intimidating. FREE ADMISSION. Hosted in partnership with the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia’s Emma Lang
